Ele tinha uma forte marca ou imagem, facilmente reconhec\u00edvel. Algumas Hist\u00f3rias receberam forte influ\u00eancia de Shirato Sampei, prestigiado autor de \u201cA Lenda do Kamui\u201d, com quem se correspondia, outras de Monkey Punch, outro desenhista japon\u00eas, que ficou conhecido por \u201cLupin Sansei\u201d, mas seus trabalhos tamb\u00e9m demonstravam muita pesquisa e t\u00e9cnicas inovadoras feitas em laborat\u00f3rio, criando efeitos psicol\u00f3gicos admir\u00e1veis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na Editora Edrel, onde iniciou, Seto produziu de tudo: infantis como \u201cNinja\u201d e \u201cFlavo\u201d, \u00e9picos como \u201cO Samurai\u201d, adultos como \u201cMaria Er\u00f3tica\u201d, al\u00e9m de anti-her\u00f3is como \u201cMata-Sete\u201d, hist\u00f3rias psicol\u00f3gicas e at\u00e9 fotonovelas.<br \/>\nCom o fechamento da Edrel no meio da d\u00e9cada de 70, Seto mudou-se para Curitiba, onde, em 79, conseguiu convencer cafeicultores propriet\u00e1rios de uma editora, a Grafipar, a lan\u00e7arem quadrinhos. A Grafipar foi o ber\u00e7o de muitos dos desenhistas atuais. Como editor, Seto cuidava de tudo e ainda desenhava com muita velocidade, lan\u00e7ando principalmente quadrinhos er\u00f3ticos, aproveitando a pequena abertura dada pela censura durante o per\u00edodo militar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dividindo seu tempo entre ilustra\u00e7\u00e3o de jornal e a dire\u00e7\u00e3o da gibiteca de Curitiba, Seto foi um artista pl\u00e1stico respeitado no Paran\u00e1. Seu repentino e precoce falecimento, ocorrido em 15 de novembro de 2008, assustou a todos os seus amigos. O seu \u00faltimo trabalho na \u00e1rea de mang\u00e1 foi \u201cA Filosofia do Samurai na Administra\u00e7\u00e3o Japonesa\u201d, com roteiro de Noriyuki Sato e participa\u00e7\u00e3o de Roberto Kussumoto. Natural de Martin\u00f3polis, em 1968 ingressou na \u00e1rea de quadrinhos, publicando na Edrel, e montando seu est\u00fadio em S\u00e3o Paulo. Segundo Kimio Shimizu, que trabalhou com ele nessa \u00e9poca na Edrel, Ikoma era o artista completo, pois escrevia, desenhava, letreirava e artefinalizava sozinho mais de 120 p\u00e1ginas por m\u00eas. Ikoma escrevia tramas ocidentais, mas diferente dos super-her\u00f3is americanos. Seus personagens possu\u00edam caracter\u00edsticas psicol\u00f3gicas pr\u00f3prias, como \u201cMaria Esperan\u00e7osa\u201d, que sempre procurou um marido, e o her\u00f3i \u201cFikom\u201d, que aparecia no sonho de um anti-her\u00f3i .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nos \u00faltimos anos da Edrel, Ikoma mudou-se para Curitiba e l\u00e1 se revelou um grande artista pl\u00e1stico, com uma invej\u00e1vel programa\u00e7\u00e3o de exposi\u00e7\u00f5es individuais, mas seus tra\u00e7os com vis\u00edvel influ\u00eancia do mang\u00e1 nunca mais foram vistos. Com a retirada de Ikoma, Kimio Shimizu mudou-se para Guai\u00e7ara, onde foi trabalhar na equipe de Cl\u00e1udio Seto. Com o fechamento da Edrel, Kimio foi para Editora Abril, mais tarde colaborou na Grafipar, e hoje dirige uma editora pr\u00f3pria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Trajet\u00f3ria semelhante tiveram os irm\u00e3os Paulo e Roberto Fukue. Depois da Edrel foram para Abril e at\u00e9 hoje continuam na \u00e1rea de desenho. Ao Minami pode ser atribu\u00eddo um grande feito, que foi o de efetivamente trabalhou para a publica\u00e7\u00e3o dos primeiros mang\u00e1s desenhados no Brasil, pois ele era o dono da Editora Edrel quando tudo come\u00e7ou. Desentendeu-se com outros s\u00f3cios da editora e acabou se afastando, deixando Paulo Fukue em seu lugar, mas a empresa j\u00e1 estava lan\u00e7ando muitos mang\u00e1s nessa \u00e9poca. Depois se retirou da \u00e1rea de mang\u00e1, mas continuou como pr\u00f3spero autor de livros. Minami Keizi recebeu uma homenagem do HQ Mix em 2008, e faleceu pouco tempo depois. Desenhistas nisseis que surgiram na \u00e9poca, tiveram influ\u00eancia do mang\u00e1, mas procuraram seguir um tra\u00e7o mais americano, como foi o caso de Roberto Kussumoto e Paulo Yokota.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dez anos mais tarde, uma nova onda do quadrinho nacional deu oportunidade a editoras como a Maciota e a Nova Sampa, que por sua vez deram chance a desenhistas novos como Luri Maeda, Julia Takeda e Neide Nakasato, que receberam influ\u00eancia do mang\u00e1 feminino.
